How can we help?

Most questions are answered below. If yours isn't, email igetmovingapp@gmail.com — a person reads it, usually within a day or two.

Getting started

How do I set up my first activity?

Open the Schedules tab and add a schedule. Choose the activity, the days of the week you want it on, and a rough time window — say weekday mornings between 7 and 10. That is the whole setup. From there the app scores the hours inside your window and books the best one.

Why hasn't anything been booked automatically?

Using I get movin requires an active Pro subscription.

If your subscription is active and nothing is being booked, check that:

  • the schedule is switched on;
  • the days and time window are wide enough to contain a free hour;
  • Notifications are allowed, so you hear about it when it happens.

Google Calendar

Do I need to connect Google Calendar?

No. Google Calendar is optional. With it connected, the app reads your free/busy times so it only books hours you are genuinely free, and it adds each activity to your calendar as an event. With it switched off, everything else — scoring, booking, rescheduling, Apple Health completion and Trends — works exactly the same.

The app never shares or posts your events.

I moved my activity in Google Calendar. What happens?

The app follows the move rather than duplicating the activity. If something else lands on top of a booked slot, it looks for the next best time instead.

Apple Health

My walk isn't being ticked off automatically. Why?

Completion comes from Apple Health, so check three things:

  • Permission. In the Health app, go to Sharing › Apps › I get movin and make sure Workouts is allowed.
  • The workout is really in Health. Some third-party fitness apps don't write to Apple Health.
  • Timing. A workout near the booked slot is matched automatically. One that's hours away is offered as a suggestion — "Did you do this?" — for you to confirm.

You can always check a session off by hand.

Does the app write to Apple Health?

No. I get movin only ever reads workouts from Apple Health. It never writes anything back.

Subscription & billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then I get movin, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the current period runs out.

How do I restore a purchase on a new phone?

Sign in with the same Apple Account you bought Pro with, open I get movin, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are issued by Apple, so we can't process one for you. Request it at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, email us anyway — we'd like to know.

Account & data

How do I delete my account and my data?

Open the Settings tab in the app and choose Delete Account. That removes your account and the data attached to it.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — Apple handles that separately, in Settings on your iPhone.

What data does the app collect?

A home location you set (for weather), optionally your calendar's free/busy times, and the workouts you already record in Apple Health. The privacy policy lists everything, why it's needed, and who it's shared with.

Devices

Is there an Android or iPad version?

Not yet. I get movin is an iPhone app and needs iOS 17 or later. Workouts recorded on an Apple Watch are picked up through Apple Health on your iPhone.
